Like so many people in our district, and our state, we felt the wrath of Hurricane Ian. As I write this, the inspector from FEMA is evaluating the damage to our home, both inside and out. I am thankful that our house is still standing and that my family and I are safe. We have been spending much time helping our neighbors, friends, and family in any way that we can, and look forward to moving forward together.

For this reason, the team and I have put a pause on our door knocking and canvassing efforts. It's not that the upcoming election isn't important, but people's lives have been shaken, and we must all rebuild together.

I want to thank everyone who has helped us, and all the support that this community has shown one another. This is one of the great parts about where we live, and this experience has truly brought us closer together and made us stronger.

Thank you to everyone who came out to vote in the primary election. While our race was extremely close, we won with the most votes, and will now go to a run off vs. Justin Kennedy in November.

We had such an amazing team for the primary election, and I can’t thank all of you enough. If you would like to join Team Jessie United, please send me a message. We only have a couple months until the next election, and want to make sure that we reach as many voters as possible.

Our #TeamJessieUnited shirts are in, and we would love for you to have one. Please message us to let us know how you would like to help, and when you would like to receive your awesome, new shirts. Thanks again for standing together for a better Volusia County school system.
